In Progress Monitors losing signal while gaming?

Test the PC by gaming with just the one screen hooked up and if all good, shutdown the PC, attach the second screen, power up and again test, use the same game for both tests and to begin with any gaming should be done offline as online gaming in itself can have all sorts of problems on its own.

If you do not have any games that you play offline let us know and we will provide you with a means of doing the tests.

Did you do the testing exactly as was advised above.

Yes, I have first run the game without using the second monitor and then plugged it in after the first test. Both seemed to be running without any major issues. FYI the game I ran is Fate/Samurai Remnant. I also tried a multiplayer game and it didn't seem to have any problems as well.

Sounds promising (y)

Give it a couple more days before considering the issue resolved, if all good we will mark your thread, if the exact same issue reappears let us know.

Tip, while the PC is running stable you should create a new system restore point and likewise if you intend to install any new program/s, update any software ( Including Windows and Defender ) if you make any changes to system settings keep a written note of the original settings first, these couple of things are your basic safety net.

Hi, I got bad news, the problem seemed to have just reappeared. However, instead of happening within an hour of playing a game. My PC lasted a few hours of gameplay before this issue reoccurring. Was this related to parts overheating that causes the monitors to shut off?

Did you do the above.

What happened exactly.

What game was being played.

How many screens were hooked up.

Ah, sorry. I completely forgot about setting a restoring point. But during that time, I did not install anything new or do anything significant, such as changing the settings of my system or bios.

It happened while I had two screens hooked up and I was playing Fortnite with my friends. The game seemed to run fine for two hours but crashed after that. During the crash, I also noticed that my PC was a bit hot, if that contributed to anything, and my temp seemed to be running around 60 - 80

Almost always happy to help but not when members do not do as asked, we rely on you to help us to help you.

You mention not changing anything significant so you did change something + don`t forget that things like Windows get updated and Windows unfortunately updates drivers without you knowing.

What happened exactly.

You say that the game crashed but that does not tell us what happened exactly, see my canned explanation below for as to why this information is important;

Software such as Windows can crash and when it does crash you get a BSOD and when enabled a crash dmp is generated, programs or games when they crash can on occasion close to the desktop but the computer will still be 100% functional.

Hardware failure such as a weak power supply and/or overheating are not software related and when a computer for example suddenly turns off, freezes or the screen goes black etc the behaviour should be described as the "computer shut down unexpectedly" or froze etc and not as having crashed as the latter implies a software issue as opposed to an obvious hardware issue when described properly.

Having the correct info means that helpers will not be looking for a software issue when the problem is clearly hardware related.

With your update can we have a new Speccy url + upload a MTB log for us if you will;

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.

Attach the resulting log to your next reply.

Sorry about that. When I said the game crashed, I should have meant that just like the original problem, the monitors would suddenly lose signal, and I would have to reset it to get it online.

Apologies for the delay getting back to you, working seven days a week leaving little to no time for the forum atm

Uninstall anything to do with Razer software, this is what is causing some if not all of your gaming problems.

Windows is also shown to be having issues.

You need to enable XMP as you presently have a bottleneck.
