Solved Monitor connection history

Hello everyone,

Is there any way in windows 11 to check the history of for example when a monitor was last connected. Such as the port used and a time and date?

Also what the name of the monitor connected was?

Long Story short, father passed away. Collecting things from his landlord and his 65 inch I think 8K tv he used as his monitor and bragged about having is magically nowhere to be seen. Just want to find out when it was last used with the pc.

Thanks in advance is it is possible.

Hello rtd1,

Can you not find the receipt, if not, the place of purchase may issue one if you know who to contact.

No such a program I`m afraid but if you run Speccy on the PC that the screen would have been connected to that may show a history of such a screen having been used, long shot but worth a go.

Speccy ( free )

If you are not sure what to look for do the below and we will check for you;

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

it's not having purchased it that is the issue. I want to be able to prove it was connected to his pc the day he was admitted to hospital (he would have had it on for certain before his accident) and never went back to his home. with no one else having keys to his place only the landlord could have taken it.

So for example somewhere in device management that logged the handshake to the hdmi or displayport of the television when he booted it up that day. He used a dedicated graphics card.

Fully aware of what you asked and did give you an answer;

Without proof of purchase it could be claimed that the screen had belonged to someone else ( person unknown ) and that they had asked for it back, Speccy may or may not list it but even if it does it would be a start but without proof of purchase/ownership you have an uphill battle.
